
Books on color theory invite some kind of color play on the word "color." Instead of using different colors for each letter in the title, type was outlined, then images from the interior imported in.

This is a collage-style cover, with images from multiple artists.

This is the original hardcover version of this book. I created the lettering for "Life Drawing," which involved writing the words over and over to get the lettering the way I wanted.

Fortunately, the author provided some close-up images of paint swatches. I incorporated the hand-in shots to complete the practical feel of this cover. Binding was concealed wire-o for a total workshop experience in book form.


These two books were meant to complement each other while written by different authors. I worked with a stylist for the cover photography.
